There is never a charge for your initial consultation.  We are excited to meet new, prospective patients!  The initial consultation includes a comprehensive orthodontic exam.   If the agreement is made that you or your child require treatment, Dr. Kobal will counsel you on the different options available and the advantages of each. Our office is open Monday through Thursday with Wednesday being afternoon hours.  We have extended hours on Tuesday evening.  Patients are seen by appointment only.  In order to maintain an efficient, on-time schedule, we request immediate notification if it is necessary to change an appointment. The appointment when braces are placed usually takes from one to two hours. Once the braces are on, appointments will usually take much lesss time and students are scheduled during after school hours whenever possible.  Appointment intervals can generally be extended from 6 to 10 weeks.  These long appointment intervals are made possible because Dr. Kobal implements advanced treatment systems and techniques that allow longer treatment visit intervals and yet decrease overall treatment time. We want you to know that our staff will work hard to provide the finest orthodontic care with the most convenient scheduling system possible. We also have families and children and understand your scheduling concerns and will do everything we can to ensure that your treatment goes as smoothly as possible. We work hard to make orthodontics affordable. The cost of treatment depends on the severity of the patient's problem. In most cases we will be able to discuss fees and payment options with you during your first visit. For your convenience, we offer many payment options. If full payment is made by cash or check at the onset of treatment, we offer an accounting courtesy. If you have insurance, we will offer a discount for payment of your portion of the fee that will not be covered by insurance. To fit your individual needs, financial arrangements can be made to extend your payments over a period of months. There is also a no-down-payment option.  For your convenience, we accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. As a service to you, if you have insurance, the insurance company will be called for verification of coverage and estimated amount of coverage.  Many insurance companies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is separate from general dental insurance.  We accept assignment of benefits from most insurance plans and file the necessary forms to the insurance company for you. If we are not a participating provider in your plan, we will accept any insurance as an out-of-network provider.  If your insurance benefits change during the course of treatment, the financially responsible party is responsible for all charges.
